Thank you to all who attended our AGM and participated in the election of a brand new committee for the 2006-07 period.
The committee met for the first time last night to commence planning our brand new year and we have set the wheels in motion already, as to how we are able to better serve the membership over the coming months.
Exciting news for all you cyber crazies the NSWCS’s website should be updated real soon so you can access all our upcoming events from there as well

Survey results
68 members completed the survey handed out last month - results will be available for viewing.
Talk
Matthew Begaud has finally been persuaded to talk about his automatic water changer and a glimpse of the new fish room Matthew says that this has reduced water change day from 6 hours down to 1.5 hours for 60 tanks. So if you want to find out more come along.
Breeders Awards
September is our awards month - those of you that have placed will need to attend to receive your trophies
Auction Lots
Gus Sowmi will have auction lots for the October Major Auction available for pickup for those that have placed their name on the list. Those that require lots please contact Matthew Begaud on 0414 70 90 35.
Raffle
September is Giant Fish Raffle Month so come along for a chance to win a great selection of rarer and not so rare specimens. The generosity of donations by our retailers and our members make this bi-annual event a success every year. If you have any fish that you would like to donate to the raffle please bring them along on the night.
Lucky Door Prize
Financial members who sign in by 19:30 will receive a Lucky Door Ticket on entry.
Trade Table
Bill and Lena will be only too willing to assist you with the purchase of all your dry goods needs.
Library
By popular demand our collection of books are returning for your enjoyment and education during the meeting and for borrowing should you wish to. The committee has decided to trial this for the months of September and November to guage it’s popularity and will review at year end.
Supper table
A time to network, suppertime is made even better with the array of sandwiches and biscuits, tea and coffee, provided by the committee for your enjoyment and a gold coin donation to the club.
Mini Auction
The not so mini, mini auction will be there for your buying pleasure. All items to be submitted for the mini auction must be booked in between 18:45 - 19:30. All lots must be adequately marked with the name and number of fish, plus the reserve price if any.
Member’s Draw
As there was no winner last month the prize has been added to and carried forward - you have to attend to win.
Table Show
We look forward to your submissions to the table show - some great prizes and a ribbon for 1st, 2nd and 3rd to be won -so prepare your display fish and set the wheels in motion for a move towards Club Champion in November. These shows give participants an opinion on the quality of their fish and give all members the opportunity to see a examples of the wide variety of fish bred by fellow members in the Society.
